Notes on Optical Vr
|
Op-art A contemporary art movement born at the end of the Fifties. This word was coined after the show The Responsive Eve held in New York in 1965, where many European artists involved in the new visual approaches exhibited. Op-art refers to a range of experimental researches into perceptive processes based on "Gestalt Psychologie" (ger.: Psychology of the Shape). Optical art gives visual suggestions of motion through the mathematical organization of geometrical shapes and primary colours: the observer is involved in an active participation because his or her psycho-physical sensibility is involved in the picture. links to Op-art |
